MRML people

Founders

MRML is born from the collaboration between people. The following list is certainly not exhaustive but gives an idea of what really happens.

Dr. David Squire was leading the Viper team. He first proposed the idea of a standard communication layer. He is now at Monash University, AU.
Dr. Wolfgang Müller designed MRML when he was at University of Geneva within the Viper team. He is now at University of Bayreuth, DE.
It is the collaboration with Zoran Pecenovic who actually triggered the design of MRML. The aim was to share SnakeCharmer applet as client for both the Viper and CIRCUS system.
Dr. Henning Müller is still part of the Viper team. He is participating to the development and evolution of MRML. He is using MRML extensively to design an automated CBIR evaluation framework.
Dr. Stéphane Marchand-Maillet is now leading the Viper team. He has participated in making MRML popular. He is participating to the development and evolution of MRML. He is also maintaining this MRML website.
Prof. Thierry Pun is leading the Computer Vision & Multimedia Lab at University of Geneva, within which all this has been developped.
